GLIBA Spring Forum 2020 Event Details for Authors & Publishers

​10:00 AM - 6:30 PM

Thank you for attending our Spring Forum! Having the opportunity to meet authors, publishers and other booksellers is one of the most important things we can do as an organization and we are excited to have you.

HOW TO PREPARE

​We have a very limited number of author spots available. A fee of $250 per author is required to attend. An invoice will be emailed directly to you.

Books for the Event
• Quantity: 20 - 30
• It is easiest to have a local author or sales rep bring books directly to the event. If bringing books is not an option books can be shipped ahead of time. Books must arrive by Friday, April 12th at the latest to guarantee availability at the Spring Forum.
• If there is anything else you would like to give out to booksellers (bookmarks, handouts, stickers, buttons, etc) please bring to the event or ship ahead of time.

Authors are welcome to attend the entire Spring Forum and join us for lunch but official author programming starts at 3:30 PM. If your author would like lunch, lunch begins at 12:00 PM. Please notify me of any dietary restrictions (larry@gliba.org)
AUTHOR PROGRAMMING
Lunch 12:00PM – 1:00PM
Lunch will be provided to all attendees. Authors do not need to attend lunch but are welcome to join.

Author Presentations
3:30PM – 4:30PM
Authors have up to 10 minutes to present. Each author will present once to all attendees.

Author Signing
4:30PM – 5:30PM
Authors will be stationed at tables with galleys for signing lines.

Author Reception
5:30PM – 6:30PM
A chance to mingle with booksellers over drinks. Author attendance is not mandatory.

Expected Attendance
40-50 Booksellers. This is a conservative estimate. Last year we had over 70 booksellers attend Spring Forum.

Fee
$250 fee per author and a request of 20-30 galleys.​
