The GLIBA Spring Forum is an event to connect with booksellers, authors and publishers to promote new and upcoming book releases. Every year we look forward to bringing, authors, education and bookselling camaraderie to a different city in the Great Lakes Region. Home of some of the best and most iconic independent bookstores in the country this year we are excited to be hosting our Spring Forum in Detroit! All GLIBA members are welcome to attend, as well as non-members interested in joining GLIBA.

Madison Building) 1420 Washington Blvd, Detroit, MI 48226 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM Introduction from the GLIBA Opening remarks and the day's schedule from the GLIBA. 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM ABA Education “A Year of Bookstore Profitability" We'll review a year-long calendar of effective steps bookstores can implement — as well as key cost-saving programs — to boost sales and improve the bottom line. This session is applicable to all bookstore employees, and booksellers will be invited to join the conversation and share thoughts about initiatives they use to improve profitability each quarter. 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM ABA Open Forum with scholarship announcement by Jenny Martin from BookExpo & BookCon Use the open forum to ask questions of other booksellers, as well as the ABA and GLIBA trade organizations.
