Please join NAIBA and GLIBA booksellers in Pittsburgh, PA on Wednesday, June 4 from 11am to 5pm at Riverstone Books.
We're coming together to explore first and foremost - Profitability! How can indie bookstores make more money on what we offer to our customers.
We'll talk about:
Sourcing books (Faire, nonreturnable, remainders, used books, etc)
Better buying (coop, publisher promotions, book love, when & how to buy, returns)
Off-site opportunities (B2B, book fairs, community partnerships, venue partnerships, speaker bureaus)
Digging deeper into services we already use (Batch, Libro.fm, Bookshop.org, Edelweiss)
New opportunities (sidelines, zines, publisher merchandise)
There is a limit of 15 booksellers from each region, so register quickly. The registration fee is $25. Lunch will be provided.
For those who don't need to rush home, we will adjourn to a nearby establishment for refreshments and more conversation afterwards. Details provided that day.
