DISPLAY CONTEST: WIN AN AUTHOR WORK VISIT

Left Field Publishing is holding a display contest for Len Vlahos's new novel, The Story of Oog: A New Thinker's Guide to the Forest, published earlier this month. The bookstore with the most creative and inventive display will win a visit from Vlahos, a former bookseller and former COO of the American Booksellers Association, who will work in the winning store for a weekend in mid-December.

Entries are due by Friday, December 5, and the winner will be announced Wednesday, December 10. Vlahos's visit will be from Friday, December 19, to Sunday, December 21. Click here for more information on the contest.

Scholastic Offers Expedited Shipping

To help you stock up on titles for the holiday season, Scholastic is bringing back their Indie Expedited Ship Program for ABA members!

Indies can receive expedited shipping on all orders placed between now and December 19. Click HERE for all the details. (You will need to log in to BookWeb to view the expedited shipping details.)

Ingram Holiday Shipping & Closures

Based on projected volumes and carrier holiday schedules, Ingram recommends U.S. retailers last order dates for delivery by Christmas is December 15, 2025.

Additionally, please be aware of the following carrier holiday closures:

Christmas Day – December 25, 2025
New Year's Eve & Day – December 31, 2025, and January 1, 2026

Shelf Care for the Holidays: The ABA 2025 Winter Holiday Campaign

This year’s ABA holiday campaign, Shelf Care for the Holidays, invites your customers to practice a little Shelf Care and treat themselves to something comforting: time in your favorite indie bookstore.
