It’s their way of helping you kickstart your dream shop. Applications close on December 31st; recipients are announced January 31st. Details and application link are here. The need for emergency financial assistance within the book and comic community continues to grow and thanks to Penguin Random House, AdventureKEEN, and HarperCollins, the Book Industry Charitable (Binc) Foundation launched its year-end campaign Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2025, with a $30,000 matching gift challenge, its largest ever. Shelf Care for the Holidays: The ABA 2025 Winter Holiday Campaign   This year’s ABA holiday campaign, Shelf Care for the Holidays, invites your customers to practice a little Shelf Care and treat themselves to something comforting: time in your favorite indie bookstore. Books, gift cards, or pre-orders — they all say, “You deserve this.” You can download the assets, along with suggested language for socials, on BookWeb now. The Indie Bookstore Day Planning Guide Is Here! This guide, provided by the ABA, is full of ideas for Indie Bookstore Day on April 25, 2026, including tips on how to celebrate, marketing strategies, and important information on ordering exclusives.
