Our members consist of owners, managers and booksellers of independent brick and mortar bookstores; publishers; publishers' sales representatives; distributors; authors; librarians; sidelines companies, and teachers.  Membership period for all categories is January 1st to December 31st.  There are no pro-rated memberships.  

​Our Business categories are:
  • Bookstore Business (Core) Membership: Bookstore business is defined as an independent, privately held brick and mortar retail storefront. Bookstore Business members are considered our core membership. They are eligible to serve as officers on the GLIBA Board and to vote on membership matters (one vote per membership). Single store membership is $150 per year. (Early-bird discount rate of $125 if you renew before March 1st) Multiple store memberships: $125 for 1st store location, $25 each for multiple store memberships (after initial $125 Early-Bird discount rate of $100 if you renew before $100). Limited to multiple stores under same ownership.
  • Affiliated Membership: Annual dues are $175. This includes publishers, sales reps, wholesalers, media, sidelines and other vendors, and authors with books in print. Affiliated members do not have voting rights.
  • Individual Memberships: Annual dues are $100. This category includes librarians, teachers, and prospective Booksellers. Individual members do not have voting rights.
