Circle of Sites
GLIBA is very excited to announce CIRCLE OF SITES, a new regional advertising program for
publishers, based on a similar, very successful program that our friends at the Southern Independent Booksellers Alliance established a few years ago. Designed to reach both booksellers and their customers, the program allows publishers to place a banner ad simultaneously on independent bookstore websites across the Great Lakes, thus offering region-wide exposure.
Pricing is based on the week the ads run, increasing as the year progresses. Ads that start their run in the month of January cost $199, in February the cost is $299, March is $399, April: $499, and so on through the height of the holiday shopping season to December, which costs $1299 per week.
The banner spots are sold by the week, with reservations being taken on a first-come, first-serve basis.
There are only 52 spots available for the entire year.
The banner ads will be linked back to the store's shopping cart (if they have one) or the store's main site if they don't. We can not link to publishers' or author's websites.
Ads run for one week from Thursday midnight to Thursday midnight on the collective circle of sites. An ad is not considered booked until it is paid for and the ad is received by firstname.lastname@example.org. Participating stores will be notified of the ad's content in advance of its publication on the Circle of Sites so they can confirm their own stock levels.
Banner ads are horizontal, 440x125 pixels (horizontal) and 125x440 (vertical). Both formats are required. Banners can be gif, jpg, flash, and can only be linked to a bookstore website. Wording designed to point to other sites (such as "click here to visit the author's website) should be avoided. Contact Deb Leonard at email@example.com for details.
